NIH Supports Broad Portfolio of Cannabis Research

0

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) demonstrated its support for a broad range of research on cannabis, cannabinoids, and related compounds. The research supports examining the whole or parts of the Cannabis sativa plan, extracts and enriched extracts from cannabis, cannabinoid compounds derived from cannabis extracts, non-cannabinoid elements of cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids, and components of the endocannabinoid system. The NIH is also particularly interested in the possible therapeutic uses of cannabis. To gather more information and research, the NIH is offering cannabinoid grants for a variety of research topics, including studies on the societal impacts and human health impacts of changing cannabis laws, the classes of cannabinoids, and the therapeutic properties of cannabinoids, among others. Learn more about NIH-supported research here
