New Gardisal Vaccine Could Save $2.7 Billion over the Next 35 Years

Money close up stock photoA new study published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and authored by David Durham, an associate research scientist in epidemiology at the Yale University School of Public Health, finds that the nation’s health care bill could decrease by roughly $2.7 billion over the next 35 years if we switch to the newest version of the Gardisal vaccine. This new vaccine is expected to lower the incidence of cervical cancer and death by 73 percent and 49 percent respectively. Read more about the study here.
