Nev. Gov. Stops Bill that Could Have Unintentionally Raised Health Care Prices

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval has written a letter vetoing a transparency bill that could have limited care while increasing prices. According to the Governor, Senate Bill 265 would have ignored the role pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) have in creating health care prices while providing purchasers, wholesalers, and secondary distributors of health care products a financial motivation to restrict access, which could have made access to critical care more expensive, more restricted, and less equitable.
