Insurance Commissioners Recommend New Standards To Improve Access to Care

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners recommends comprehensive new standards to address consumers’ complaints regarding lack of access to physicians and hospitals in marketplace health plans. Many plans currently offered on the exchanges have limited networks, resulting in a lack of physicians who offer specialized care. The organization also recommends expanding access to in-network practitioners in a manner that would avoid unreasonable delays or travel for consumers. See more here.
