FDA Commissioner Convenes Task Force to Prevent Drug Shortages Following Hurricane Maria

Earlier this week, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Scott Gottlieb established a task force to mitigate anticipated drug shortages resulting from hurricane Maria’s impact on manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico. The task force will work closely with federal and local governments to prevent the loss of life-sustaining and life-saving medications that are manufactured on the island. Read more here.
