The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the childhood immunization schedule regarding the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The new schedule adds a version of the vaccine that protects against nine strains of the virus. It also offers all older teens the option of a meningitis vaccine previously recommended only for high-risk children. Read more here.
