CDC Encourages New HPV Vaccine To Prevent Cancer

Teenage boy getting vaccination in his armThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the childhood immunization schedule regarding the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The new schedule adds a version of the vaccine that protects against nine strains of the virus. It also offers all older teens the option of a meningitis vaccine previously recommended only for high-risk children. Read more here.
