Aimed Alliance Urges Colorado PDAB Not to Establish a UPL for Cosentyx

0

On June 24, Aimed Alliance sent a letter to the Colorado Prescription Drug Affordability Board urging it not to establish an upper payment limit (UPL) for Cosentyx, citing concerns that UPLs may not reduce patients’ out‑of‑pocket costs and could instead lead to unintended consequences such as increased utilization management, formulary changes, and disruptions in continuity of care. The letter also emphasizes the importance of meaningfully incorporating patient experiences as core evidence in the Board’s decision-making. If the Board moves forward, Aimed Alliance recommends adopting strong safeguards, including monitoring of patient access and establishing clear criteria for identifying and addressing harm.
