Aimed Alliance Release New Resources on PDABs

0

On January 22, 2024, Aimed Alliance published two new resources on prescription drug affordability boards (PDABs). These boards, established at the state level, aim to combat the escalating costs of prescription drugs. PDABs employ a range of strategies, including monitoring drug prices, implementing price controls, conducting data analysis, reporting on pricing trends and drug markets, and formulating policy recommendations aimed at improving consumer prescription drug affordability. Due to the diverse approaches taken by different states, there exists a notable gap in the analysis of state adoptions and proposals of PDABs. Aimed Alliance’s new resources serve as a comprehensive review of both enacted and proposed PDAB laws. These resources are aimed at equipping advocacy organizations, patients, and providers with information on (1) enacted PDABs; and (2) proposed PDABs from 2017-2023.
