Aetna recently filed a notice of intent to terminate its Medicaid managed care contracts with Illinois after the state did not pass a budget by July 1, stating that Illinois owed the insurer $698 million. Illinois passed a budget late Thursday afternoon, however, Aetna declined to comment on whether it has chosen to terminate its contracts. Read more here.
