Advocacy Group Calls for Limits on Insurer’s Prices for Cancer Medications

Man showing stop gestureThe American Cancer Society recently released a report calling on regulators to tightly restrict how much insurers charge patients for medications. Due to the fact that most insurance plans in the six states analyzed for the report placed their medications into payment tiers requiring the most out-of-pocket cost, cancer patients shopping on these state and federal insurance marketplaces are often unsure if their drugs are covered, or how much they will have to pay.
