A 5,000% Price Hike and 2 Weeks Later, Daraprim Still Costs the Same

Despite responding to national outrage by promising to lower the price of Daraprim, a drug that fights parasitic infections, pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli has not yet made good on his word. Last month his pharmaceutical company increased the life-saving medication by 5,000%. Now at $900 a pill, a 30-day, 30-pill supply of the drug would cost the average person $27,006 at their local pharmacy. This decision is disastrous for the people relying on the medication.
