The recently published report, “Break Through the Stigma: Menopause in the Workplace,” unveiled significant findings concerning menopausal women in the workplace. Notably, the report found that 51 percent of peri- and post-menopausal women believe menopause has negatively affected their work life, while only 14 percent think their employers recognize the need for menopause-specific benefits.

The findings are particularly timely as one-fifth of the workforce is currently undergoing some phase of the menopausal transition. However, as stigma persists around menopause, with 60 percent of women deeming it a taboo topic, women are struggling to access care in the workplace. The report underscores the demand for better support for women experiencing menopause, with 64 percent expressing the desire for menopause-specific benefits, which not only enhance their work experience but also make them more likely to recommend their employer as a great place to work.
