Doctors treatment decisions for their patients are being overridden by insurers with increasing frequency, a recent study by Aimed Alliance shows. Of the 600 doctors surveyed, 89% say they no longer have an acceptable amount of influence in healthcare decisions for their patients, and 87% say that health insurers interfere with their ability to prescribe individualized treatments. The survey found that as a result of their rising frustrations, 52% of physicians are considering leaving the field of medicine. Read more here.
