Insurer’s Hepatitis C Drug Denials Yields Lawsuit

An insurer has been hit with a federal class action lawsuit. Plaintiffs allege the health insurer denied them access to a hepatitis C cure prescribed to them by their physicians because Blue Shield deemed them not sick enough. Aimed Alliance firmly believes physicians and patients, rather than insurers, should decide which treatments the patients should receive. Read more here.
