Aimed Alliance Urges Congress to Advance the SUSTAIN 340B Act

On August 28, 2026, Aimed Alliance submitted a letter supporting the SUSTAIN 340B Act, a bipartisan legislation to strengthen and reform the 340B program. The letter supports the Act’s provisions to increase oversight of contract pharmacy arrangements, establish a clear statutory definition of a 340B patient, strengthen eligibility and integration requirements for child sites, enhance reporting on how 340B savings are used, expand audit and compliance authorities, and improve safeguards against duplicate discounts through an independent data clearinghouse. Aimed Alliance also suggests that Congress consider additional guardrails to ensure 340B-generated savings are used for patient and community benefits, as well as other activities consistent with the program’s safety-net mission.
