Aimed Alliance Publishes Recommendations for State and Federal 340B Reform

Aimed Alliance has released new recommendations for reforming the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program and advancing state-based alternatives to strengthen transparency, accountability, and patient benefits. This new resource urges stakeholders to prioritize federal reforms through giving the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) clearer regulatory authority, strengthening audits and eligibility verification, increasing oversight of contract pharmacies, and establishing a clear definition of a 340B “patient.” While recognizing the need for a federal solution, this resource also recognizes the growing interest by state legislators to address the use of the 340B program.
