On July 27, 2026, Aimed Alliance sent a letter to the Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board urging it to not move forward with its proposed upper payment limits (UPLs) for Jardiance and Ozempic, given the significant legal vulnerabilities highlighted by the recent federal court ruling against Colorado’s UPL. The letter emphasized that UPLs are unlikely to generate out-of-pocket savings at the pharmacy counter and risk creating additional access challenges for consumers. Aimed Alliance also recommended that the Board instead direct its resources toward legally sound alternative strategies while treating patient experiences as essential data and establishing rigorous oversight to protect patient access.
