Aimed Alliance Urges OH Legislators to Pass Copay Accumulator Reform

0

Aimed Alliance recently sent a letter to the Ohio legislature urging for the ban of copay accumulator programs. These programs prevent the value of copay assistance from counting toward a patient’s deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, forcing many individuals, especially those managing chronic or rare conditions, to pay thousands of dollars more each year to access their prescribed medications. By requiring health plans and pharmacy benefit managers to count copay assistance toward these limits, SB 207 would help ensure that patients can afford and adhere to their treatment plans without unnecessary financial burden.
