On June 5, 2025, Aimed Alliance hosted a one-hour webinar to introduce health care access advocates to the judicial system (i.e., state and federal courts) and how it can be used as a tool to complement legislative- and executive-branch advocacy efforts. The program, presented by Ashira Vantrees, Esq., Director of Legal Strategy and Advocacy for Aimed Alliance, and Michael C. Barnes, Esq., outside counsel to Aimed Alliance, included discussions on the foundations of the U.S. judicial system; how civil litigation can be deployed to improve policy and practice; overviews of timely cases brought by individual, professional, industry, and not-for-profit plaintiffs; and advocacy resources and opportunities.
