On May 31, 2024, Aimed Alliance released a new fact sheet on prescription drug affordability boards (PDABs). The new resource titled “PRESCRIPTION DRUG AFFORDABILITY BOARDS: Challenges & Alternatives” reviews recent challenges with PDABs such as quantitative and qualitative analysis values; impact on consumer affordability; and logistical challenges with PDABs. In addition, the resource recognizes alternatives that may help lower consumer health care costs such as step therapy and prior authorization reform.
