On September 1, 2023, Aimed Alliance submitted a comment to Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner request for information on the PA Benchmark Plan. Aimed Alliance’s comment requested the benchmark plan ensure that specialty drugs are considered part of the essential health benefit for prescription drugs. Additionally, we requested the Insurance Commissioner ensure that the ACA exception process was upheld, and that plans were required to conduct medically necessity assessments to determine if the requested prescription drug should be treated as an EHB.
