The article focuses on how consumers can challenge their health plan’s denial of coverage and advocate for their plan to reverse the decision. In discussing the rights of consumers to appeal their claim denial, Ms. Vantrees was quoted stating “[h]ealth plans are not consumer friendly, and plan documents are often filled with fine print and legalese, which is intimidating for many people . . .
