Aimed Alliance released three new patient-centered resources as part of its Patients & PDABs: Ensuring a Voice in the Process initiative to help patients better understand PDABs and engage meaningfully in board processes. The series includes three resources: one explaining the basics of PDABs, one providing an overview of upper payment limits (UPLs), and one highlighting the importance of patient engagement in PDAB processes. Together, these resources explain how PDABs and UPLs work, how board decisions may affect patient access to medications, and the opportunities available for patients, caregivers, and providers to participate in the policymaking process. The resources are designed to equip patients with the knowledge and tools needed to understand these evolving state drug affordability policies and ensure their voices are heard in decisions that may impact their care.
