Aimed Alliance Public Policy Director Stacey L. Worthy will present at the 46th annual American Society of Addiction Medicine Conference, which will be held on April 23-26, 2015 in Austin, Texas.
The conference features the latest innovations in science and business and highlights some of the best practices in clinical integration. Ms. Worthy will present a focus session on laws and regulations that govern controlled substance prescribing entitled Safer Prescribing of Controlled Substances: a Legal Perspective. The session will provide prescribers with an understanding of how to comply with health care fraud laws and teach participants to ensure the proper safeguards are in place to protect the safety of their patients and prevent civil and criminal violations.
