Aimed Alliance Urges for Increased PBM Transparency

On April 15, Aimed Alliance commented on the Department of Labor’s “Improving Transparency Into Pharmacy Benefit Manager Fee Disclosure” proposed rule. Aimed Alliance supported the many disclosure requirements included in the proposed rule. In addition, the comment urged for the Department of Labor to require the disclosure of benefit utilization savings; clarify that third-party programs not directly affiliated with PBMs are subject to these requirements; and to prohibit the use of discriminatory QALYs.
