On May 7, 2024, Aimed Alliance submitted a letter to the Nebraska Banking, Commerce, and Insurance Committee regarding L.B.33, which proposes the establishment of a Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB). In our letter, we expressed concerns about the experimental nature of PDAB initiatives and underscored the importance of ensuring that cost savings directly benefit consumers. We advocated for alternative measures, such as step therapy reform, to improve consumer access to vital treatments; and recommended the inclusion of a permanent consumer or patient representative on the board to ensure the incorporation of the perspectives of patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers into PDABs.
