A health insurance company recently announced that it has lifted restrictions on medications that cure hepatitis C. The policy change came after recent criticism that health insurers are limiting drugs to only the sickest hepatitis C patients. Both their commercial and Medicaid plans will pay for the drugs regardless of the condition of the infected patients’ livers.
