Trump Administration Releases Spring Regulatory Agenda, Delays Rulemaking

Health care advocates have been anticipating the release of final regulations from the Trump Administration that could have sweeping impacts on the U.S. health care system. Those expectations were muted on May 22, 2019, when the administration released its Spring Regulatory Agenda, which includes an overview of forthcoming regulatory actions. The health policy community expected the imminent release of final rules regarding the International Pricing Index demonstration program and changes to the Anti-Kickback Statute’s safe harbor provisions, but the regulatory agenda revealed that both final rules have been delayed until later in the year.
