On December 5, 2025, Aimed Alliance’s Counsel, Michael Barnes, published a new opinion piece titled “Trump Administration Took Decisive Action on TikTok — Now Confront Junk Science.” This article argues that the Trump Administration should take swift action in rooting out “junk science” from U.S. courtrooms. The piece highlights how unreliable or cherry-picked expert testimony, can distort verdicts, undermine public health, and erode trust in our justice system. Moreover, the article highlights how the 2023 amendment to Federal Rule of Evidence 702 provides new safeguards and calls on judges, lawmakers, and regulators to apply a disciplined, science-based standard when evaluating expert evidence.
