Step Therapy Reform: Strengthening Enforcement and Patient Protections to Deter Step Therapy Violations


In 2022, Senator Breslin introduced S8191, and Assemblyman McDonald introduced A9267 to create additional step-therapy patient protections, such as prohibiting patients from step through off-label medications, requiring patients to try and fail on more than one drug, or requiring step therapy for longer than 30 days.  Read the fact sheet here.
