A research team at the Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell and New York-Presbyterian Hospital is taking a fresh look at the ways in which physician-scientists address individualized cancer care. The investigative team enlisted 97 cancer patients with advanced, treatment-resistant disease and, through Whole Exome Sequencing and study of the cancers’ exomes, were able to identify new therapeutic possibilities. The study demonstrated the possibility of conducting extensive molecular analysis in a short time frame to find new potential cancer therapies. Explore the specifics of the study here.
