Recently, the Alliance for Patient Access (AfPA) published a blog titled Prescription Digital Therapeutics Emerge as Health Care’s Newest Frontier. The blog highlights how prescription digital therapeutics (PDTs) work and their potentially uncertain path ahead. Specifically, the blog explains that PDTs are therapeutics that are prescribed by providers as a form of treatment for a wide variety of conditions such as chronic insomnia, diabetes, congestive heart failure, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
