The new Ohio Senate Bill 129 will require quicker decisions from health insurers when preauthorizing care. In urgent cases, insurers must make preauthorization decisions within one business day, and five days otherwise. The bill comes as an effort to increase transparency of the process and to cut down on the number of delays patients experience. Read more here.
