KanCare Recommendation To Deny Hepatitis C Drug Comes under Fire

Waving Kansas State FlagA Kansas oversight committee is calling for controversial cost-saving changes to the state’s privatized Medicaid program, KanCare, including one recommendation that would deny potentially life-saving treatments to patient. The recommendation, put forth by Senator Jim Denning, calls for immediate withholding of hepatitis C cures from patients who do not follow treatment requirements.
