If Health Insurer Pulls out, Enrollees will Be Hit Hard in the South and Midwest

Recent Kaiser Family Foundation analysis finds that if a certain health insurer decides to quit the health insurance marketplaces in 2017, over 1 million consumers would only have one health plan option. These consequences would impact states in the south and Midwest the most, with 1.8 million enrollees going from a choice of three insurers to two, and 1.1 million going from two insurers to one.
