On August 1, 2024, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the 10 members of its new Digital Health Advisory Committee. The Digital Health Advisory Committee is tasked with advising the FDA on policies related to artificial intelligence(AI)/machine learning, cybersecurity, patient-generated health data, and other digital health technologies. The Committee’s first meeting will be held over two days on November 20-21, 2024, and will focus on the impact of generative AI-enabled devices on the safety and effectiveness of medical devices. The Digital Health Advisory Committee includes:
