Aimed Alliance’s New Resources on CBD Regulation and Labeling

On Aug. 16, Aimed Alliance published two new resources addressing critical aspects of cannabidiol (CBD) regulation. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that current safety standards for foods and dietary supplements cannot be met by consumer products containing CBD. To address this, the FDA urged Congress to establish a dedicated regulatory framework tailored to CBD-containing consumer products intended for human ingestion. Aimed Alliance’s new resources  delve into two key areas of this potential regulation: (1) the fundamental components of an effective regulatory framework for consumer products containing cannabis-derived ingredients; and (2) the essential labeling requirements for consumer goods that include ingredients derived from cannabis.
