Aimed Alliance Urges MD PDAB to Conduct Patient-Centered, Evidence-Based Reviews

0

Prior to the Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board’s July meeting to conduct cost affordability reviews for Farxiga and Jardiance, Aimed Alliance submitted a letter urging the Board to ensure that its reviews are evidence-based and meaningfully incorporate patient perspectives. While opportunities for public comment have been provided, Aimed Alliance emphasized the need for the Board to genuinely consider this input in its decision-making to preserve public trust and uphold transparency. Additionally, Aimed Alliance recommended that the Board prioritize the use of accurate, representative data and intentionally engage diverse patient voices throughout the process to ensure that affordability decisions truly reflect the experiences and needs of Maryland patients.
