Aimed Alliance Releases New Resource on Vermont Step Therapy Law

During the 2024 legislative session, Vermont passed a step-therapy law that placed guardrails on step-therapy policies to protect health care consumers.  Step therapy, also known as fail-first, requires consumers to try and fail on alternative treatments before the plan will cover the originally prescribed treatment. To ensure providers are aware of their rights and benefits under this new law, Aimed Alliance, the National Psoriasis Foundation, and the Vermont Medical Society have developed the below fact sheet containing important information and explaining Vermont’s step-therapy law.
