Today, Aimed Alliance released a fact sheet entitled “Expansion of Home Health Services for Medicare Beneficiaries.” The fact sheet summarizes an interim final rule from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that provides certain flexibilities to treat Medicare beneficiaries in their homes. For example, it allows a health care practitioner or home health provider to administer a Part B medication to a patient in the home if the patient has (1) a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis; or (2) a condition in which it is medically contraindicated for the patient to leave the house.
