On June 30, Aimed Alliance released a new Know Your Rights brochure for patients with Movement Disorders. A movement disorder Movement disorders are a group of neurologic conditions characterized by altered coordination of movements, including increased, slow, or reduced movements.
This new brochure provides an overview of movement disorder diagnosis and treatments. In addition, the resource provides examples of health insurers’ benefit utilization practices that can delay consumers ability to access their medications, and provides information for patients on how to appeal an adverse benefit determination from their health plan.
