Aimed Alliance sent a letter to Governor Lombardo opposing Nevada Assembly Bill 259, which would cap health plan reimbursement for select prescription drugs at the Maximum Fair Price (MFP) established by Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) negotiations. The bill’s approach effectively mirrors the impact of upper payment limits (UPLs) by imposing price controls without requiring that any resulting savings be passed on to consumers. As such, Aimed Alliance’s letter urged the Governor to veto the bill and instead support more effective, patient-centered solutions, such as banning copay accumulator programs and enacting pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) reforms.
