Employers are under constant pressure to reduce the health costs incurred by their employees. Recently, employers have opted to pursue this goal by implementing copay accumulator policies that restrict how payments made on behalf of enrollees count towards their cost-sharing responsibilities such as deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket costs.
