On October, 15, 2023, Aimed Alliance submitted a comment to the House Budget Committee’s Healthcare Taskforce request for information on regulatory, statutory, and implementation barriers that could be addressed to reduce health care spending; and recommendations to reduce improper payments in federal health care programs.
Aimed Alliance’s comment urged Congress to pass the Safe Step Act and the HELP Copays Act to eliminate barriers that increase health care costs for consumers and interfere with timely access to treatments. Aimed Alliance also urged Congress to investigate why multiple reports have stated Medicare Advantage Plans are estimated to receive over $10 Billion in overpayments in 2023.
