Aimed Alliance, one of 16 members of the Patients’ Alliance for Drug Safety Protections (Patients’ Alliance), signed on to a letter sent to Senate Judiciary Committee leaders discussing concerns surrounding the Creating and Restoring Equal Access to Equivalent Samples Act of 2016 (CREATES Act). Patients’ Alliance fears that provisions of the bill would significantly weaken drug safety protections for drugs with known or potential life-threatening risks, including severe birth defects, hospitalization, and death.
