In December 2024, the Bipartisan Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force released the “Bipartisan House Task Force Report on Artificial Intelligence.” Comprising 24 members evenly split between Republicans and Democrats from 20 committees. The Task Force aims to create a comprehensive vision for AI adoption, innovation, and governance in the U.S.
The 2024 report includes 66 key findings and 85 recommendations, balancing the promotion of AI innovation with the need to mitigate risks.

The AI Task Force found that AI can streamline administrative processes, expedite drug development, and enhance diagnostics, but challenges like inconsistent medical data standards hinder progress and data sharing.
When utilizing AI in healthcare, the Task Force recommended ensuring AI is safe, transparent, and effective; supporting AI-related healthcare research and risk management; developing liability standards and payment mechanisms to foster innovation; and promoting privacy, security, and equitable health outcomes.
