The Utah Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is afraid of a hepatitis C outbreak after more than 7,000 patients came in contact with an infected former nurse at a Utah hospital. So far, less than half of those individuals have come in for free testing to find out if they have the disease. Angela Dunn, a physician with the Utah Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urges everyone contacted to get tested because symptoms of hepatitis C can remain dormant for decades.
