A study conducted by Northwestern Medicine in Chicago indicates that incorporating pharmacists into outpatient HIV clinics not only improves continuity of care, it also improves medication counseling and adherence. Interdisciplinary teams are common in HIV care, however the inclusion of a pharmacist on these care teams is rare compared with other disease states. Click here for more information.
