On March 14, 2015, The Hill published Aimed Alliance’s op-ed Why We Need a Petition to Increase Access to Novel Therapies. The op-ed notes that restricting access to novel therapies harms patients and highlights that 15 states and the District of Columbia have passed laws to cap co-pays on specialty medications. It calls for additional patient protections at both the state and federal levels and calls for a petition to increase patient access to novel therapies through legislative and regulatory remedies rather than through cost containment policies.
