This morning, Stacey L. Worthy, Aimed Alliance’s Director of Public Policy, gave an interview with EWTN Radio about health insurance costs and rising premiums in health exchange plans for 2016. Recently released data shows an average premium increase of 20 percent across all exchange plan levels for the upcoming year, with premiums in states, such as Utah, increasing by 45 percent. Aimed Alliance believes these price hikes are unjustifiable, especially in light of insurers’ deceptive practices to hide profits and their imposition of discriminatory cost-containment measures that deny patient care. More must be done to ensure industry-wide scrutiny of insurance companies to ensure greater transparency, affordability, and quality of health care. Listen to the full interview below.
